Game-based learning
Game-based learning, not to be confused with gamification, is basically using games that could be adapted to the curriculum during class. I personally am a big fan of this, be it with younger kids or with adults. They get lost in the game and are not fully aware that they are actually practicing English - vocabulary, or grammar, or whatever it is you as a teacher chose to focus on through the game. In the end, they are just having fun (while learning). Scroll down to see a lesson plan I made in a Word document for game-based learning in an English class.
